Water Wells

Water is the human body’s most basic need. It is unfathomable to think that there are over 2 billion people in the world today who lack access to such a commodity. Sadly, the people of the Congo are apart of that statistic. Half of the people in Congo are drinking contaminated water. Currently in the DRC, 1 in 6 newborns die from waterborne diseases in their first three years of life and a total of 17% of the population die due to unclean water.

What can we do?

We want to see a reduction in infant mortality rates and an increase in life expectancy. We believe we can make this possible by providing access to clean water by way of water wells. At last, eliminating the chore and risk of collecting water from distant rivers everyday.

Our Goal

WellBeing is committed to drilling 200 water wells in the villages of Kasongo – Lunda. This district has a population of roughly 1.4 million people, all of which do not have access to clean water. With 200 water wells, nearly 500,000 people will gain access to this basic need!

Goal

200 wells dug

Costs

$15,000 per well

Schools

At WellBeing, we are strong believers in investing in today’s youth, for we know they will be tomorrow’s leaders. Our vision is to plant schools all across Congo, utilizing education as an avenue to introduce young Congolese to Jesus Christ. We want to train students to become successful, both professionally and spiritually. Our hope is that these children will grow to know and love Jesus more and continue to preach His word to the youth in their community.

Our first step

Today in Congo, the village of Kingwangala doesn’t have access to suitable schools. Our strategy is to build an exceptional school that will give an opportunity to over 1,000 children to attend. A school equipped with qualified teachers and computer technology.

We are eager to see life change in this community and are believing in a brighter future for the Kingwangala children.

Computer Center

Computers play a vital role in every field, especially in education. In Congo, there are people who have never had an opportunity to access a computer. In 2015, we built a computer center in Kinshasa, Congo with 20 brand new computers. Since then, over 400 young people have been served here each year.

The Purpose

To educate people in computer knowledge, software application, and the ability to access the internet and to have a space for gatherings and fellowship.

Today

We currently have a full classroom of Congolese students taking our computer courses. This intensive training will allow for these students to leave, after three months, competent in Microsoft and other basic computer skills. We pray these skill sets will allow for these students to positively impact their community and help facilitate a drive to become entrepreneurs.
